Labrador Tea | ||
Labrador Tea is widely recognized as the plant of longevity by the First Nations of Canada.
Several scientific studies are gradually revealing all its virtues. The new shoots, with their deliciously woody aroma, are carefully harvested by hand to take care of the plants and protect the nature. Labrador tea is a shrub native to North America. It grows in bogs and acidic environments in Greenland, throughout Canada and the northern United States. It is a member of the Rhododendron family. The leaves are green and smooth on top with often wrinkled edges, and white to reddish-brown downy on the bottom. Native Americans used it to flavor foods, especially meats with a strong venison flavor. We offer it in leaves for a herbal tea or as an essential oil: |
